EN81-20 state that:
"In case of failure, or deactivation of the protective device, the kinetic energy of the doors shall be limited to 4J, if the lift is kept in operation, and an acoustic signal shall operate at any time the door(s) is (are) closing."
The 841 000 & 841 012 controllers are sent out with Time Out Disabled as standard. This means in the event of a diode fault, the doors will permanently trigger and the lift will essentially be taken out of service. This means there is no requirement for the diagnostic output to trigger nudging mode and audio alarm.
If you would like to keep the doors in operation in the event of a diode fault, then you will need either the:
843 030 - CONTROLLER: Twin-Relay,3D,240V,EN81-20
843 031 - CONTROLLER: Twin-Relay,2D,240V,EN81-20
Which have the ability to trigger the audio alarm and nudging mode when wired back into the elevator door controller.
