Check the DCP and SIM Status:

  1. Try calling the phone number of the device: If the call is answered you know, the DCP is powered on, the Sim Card is working, and it is attached to the network. The device should then be programmable by SMS.
  2. If when calling the device phone number the call does not go through or goes directly to voice mail; wait 5 minutes and try calling the device again a few times. If there is no change then this would indicate either that unit is currently dialling out to another phone number or there is a fault with the device and an engineer will need to attend site to either power cycle to unit or swap it out completely
